A Hope You can Cling Too

Over at SplitCoastStampers, they are have fun and rewarding challenges for October's Breast Cancer Awarness Month.  This is one on my cards I made for the "Bling the Cling" Challenge over the weekend:

I used my KKOriginals Cowboy Angels stamp and my Unity KOTM sentiment stamp to make this awesome card.  I love it.  All cards are going to be sent to UT MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Hope you enjoyed this!

Later!

Split Coast Stampers- Inspiration Challenge 304

Over at Split Coast Stampers, I started my journey back to cardmaking by making a card for their Inspiration Challenge.  This week’s Inspiration Challenge comes from 2Modern, a wonderful on-line store founded by Greg Finney & Jennifer Sitko in 2003 to share their passion of modern design with the world.

I didn't have to go very far to find inspiration...didn't get past the first page!!

Here is what I came up with:

I got to use my new Martha Stewart Pine Needle Trim Double Edged Punch that I picked up from Archiver's yesterday with my 30% off coupon. Whoot!  I dusted the edges of the trim with my Tim Holtz's Distress Ink in Vintage Photo, my absolutely favorite color for that perfect burnt effect.  The sentiment and vine branch stamps come from Unity Stamp Company.  They are both from my Kit of the Month Set from May 2008 or 2009 (???) not sure on the year.  But the whole set is called  Another Sweet Day.  Sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and the branches are stamped with my Versamark stamp pad and then both are embossed with clear embossing powder.  And yes, we must always have a little bling-age.  Thanks for taking the time to check out my new design!

Until later..... Enjoy Your Day!

I once was lost.....

I have finally come to my senses and realized that cardmaking and scrapbooking are my real passion in life other than my brand new hubby.  :-)

Now that things have settled down here...the wedding is over, school is almost done for Sean (THANK YOU JESUS!), and I'm on the road to a healthly lifestyle with almost 100 pounds pounds gone so far,  I have decided that I LOVE MAKING CARDS!!!    So this is going to be the first of many posts of my creations, stories, and tips along my journey back to my first love..(sorry Sean, you know you are my true first love..), CARDMAKING!  So sit back and relax while my creative juices start flowing again.  Here are a couple of pictures of the wedding for you to take a gander at while I create my first "Back to Card Reality" design.
